Curb Appeal

This project called for an outstanding front yard and entrance with major wow-factor. Custom cut column basalt boulders were used to accent a stately and highly unique custom paver stone walkway entrance and slab stone staircase for the front entry of this home. Along the front edge of the yard we eliminated a steep slope by building long lasting, low maintenance retaining walls from each side of the staircase, and added enhanced curb appeal and safety with illuminating under lights built into the wall and up the edges of the stairway. To deal with a slope to the side of the front yard we switched it up by using more column boulders to create a handsome retaining barrier system.

Then we had a blank slate backyard space between the home and the garage to work with. We designed this area to be be functional and low maintenance - but also inviting and elegant. We added a paver walkway and patio, then we installed a natural gas fire pit made of unique boulders sourced from a Montana mountain side. With the press a button our clients have an instant campfire to gather around. However they'll have no smoke to deal with and complete control over the size of the fire - so they can have a roaring hot fire as needed in the winter months or a simmering low heat fire when desired more for ambience than warmth.

In addition to the hardscaping we then added some final touches with modern style pathway lighting, sod, easy to maintain plant beds with rows of deep green boxwood shrubs and trees.
